Abstract

Dr Abraham's conception of evangelism as initiating into the kingdom of God by a multi‐dimensional catechesis is described, and its application to the churches’ children is discussed in detail. An analogy with Richard Peters’ conception of education is made to defend the view that there is a substantial overlap between child‐evangelism as conceived here and modern religious education. Both are based on comparable values, taking account of the perspectives of church and school, and should be acceptable to each other.
