Abstract

A statistically significant relationship was observed between the behavior of 86 children (3 to 7 years old) who underwent an oral examination on their initial dental visit and their mothers’ scores on the Taylor Manifest Anxiety Scale and a short preoperative questionnaire. This relationship was not found for the second and third visits when restorative procedures were performed.
