Abstract

In this paper, we report a clinical case of a relatively rare disease, chikungunya fever, a viral disease characterized by a sudden fever accompanied by skin rashes and joint pain, followed by persistent rheumatic symptoms. The singularity of our clinical case (to our knowledge, not yet reported in the literature) lies in the fact that it presented a positive tourniquet test, a finding traditionally described in severe dengue infections.
