Abstract

This meta-analysis shows a significantly increased chance of survival with chest-compression only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) compared to standard CPR, with an absolute increase in survival of 2.4% and a relative increase of 22%, number needed to treat (NNT)=41. Level of evidence: 1++ (Meta-analysis of RCTs with homogeneity and a very low risk of bias).
