Abstract

Simple expressions of radiation caused by an oscillating dipole moving with a uniform velocity have been deduced. Region of radiation is much wider than that of usual Cherenkov radiation. Some interesting features as two cones of radiation, existence of radiation in the non-Cherenkov region and the interference like phenomenon in the intensity of radiation are found which are not present in the usually traced Cherenkov radiation.
