Abstract

Abstract In a recent study, markers of cellular senescence, namely the tumor suppressor proteins p16INK4a and ARF, increased in breast cancer patients who received chemotherapy; radiation and taxanes did not appear to affect cellular senescence. The difference was equivalent to more than a decade in chronological age.
