Abstract
A facile and chemoselective one-pot synthesis of novel stable phosphorus ylides has been developed from the reaction between triphenylphosphine and dialkyl acetylenedicarbocxylates in the presence of (heterocyclic) biological bases such as purine, theophylline, 6-azauracil, and 6-aza-2-thiothymine at ambient temperature.
