Abstract

Selenocyanates possess an extremely high propensity to produce diselenides on reaction with selenols or selenolates. This is effectively observed when one molar equivalent of metal hydride or lithium triethyl borohydride or one fourth molar equivalent of metal borohydrides are reacted with organic selenocyanates. © 1997 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
