Abstract

Recently, chemoselective probes have gained increasing attention for its superior properties in analyte separation, target compound enrichment, metabolite modification, and derivatization. In this regard, the chemoselective probe is showing great potential in targeted metabolomics research. This review summarizes the workflow and design of chemoselective probes. The new development of its applications in the fields of natural product enrichment, metabolite derivatization, as well as potential applications in metabolomics research is reviewed. Its possible future trends are also prospected.
