Abstract
Specific, irreversible, inhibition of ODC activity with DFMO and resultant low levels of intracellular polyamines markedly suppress the induction of experimental colonic and mammary cancers and hold promise for augementing the multidrug chemotherapy of established colonic, pancreatic, renal and mammary cancers without increasing systemic toxicity.
