Abstract

By this article, we have reflected results of a valuable study in which by chemometric modeling of different types of electrochemical data, binding and inhibition of the calcineurin (CN) by cyclosporine (CsA) has been thoroughly investigated. Firstly, analysis of the electrochemical data by conventional methods was performed which helped us to extract some information to cast an initial look at interactions of CsA with CN. Then, electrochemical data were modeled by hard-modeling chemometric methods to obtain some quantitative information about binding of CsA with CN and subsequently, the electrochemical data were row-wise augmented and analyzed by multivariate curve resolution-alternating least squares as a well-known soft modeling chemometric tool to extract qualitative information about mentioned interactions. Both of hard- and soft-modeling methods gave us the results which were compatible and confirmed the results of the first step which were obtained by conventional methods. Finally, an amperometric method was developed for determination of the CN according to its binding and inhibition by CsA.
