Abstract

Many job seekers and employers are turning to the web to help them find each other. Huge commercial career sites such as monster board.com and careermosaic.com offer an enormous array of jobs and candidates in every conceivable field, but they can be a bit overwhelming. For those employers and job seekers who want something just for chemical scientists, there is ChemJobs— a pair of Internet tools designed exclusively for their needs and serving only American Chemical Society members and national and student affiliates. ChemJobs consists of the new Online Professional Data Bank (PDB), an upgraded version of the long-standing Professional Data Bank, and the ACS Job Bank, a searchable Internet edition of the classified advertising from C&EN for the past two weeks.
