Abstract

AbstractAlthough the sydnones are converted to hydrazines by hot, moderately concentrated aqueous hydrochloric acid, more dilute acid is without effect on 3‐phenylsydnone. Chlorination and bromination can be effected in aqueous solutions of the corresponding acids, using either the halogens themselves or the alkali chlorates and bromates.
