Abstract
A new diterpene diol has been isolated from Beyeria leschenaultii (D.C.) Bail. and has been shown to be (—)-kaur-16-ene-3α,19-diol(Ia) by its relation to the known 16α(—)-kaurane-3α,17,19-triol (II) which also occurs in this plant.
