AbstractAllenyl thioethers of the type CH3CHC (R = alkyl) have been converted in very good yield into 1,3‐enynes HCC‐CHCH‐R (IV) on treatment with two equivalents of alkali amide in liquid ammonia, followed by hydrolysis of the reaction mixture.
