Abstract

Abstract The vibrational spectra and rotational isomerism of seven branched alkyl sulfides t-butyl ethyl sulfide, t-butyl propyl sulfide, t-butyl isopropyl sulfide, methyl isopropyl sulfide, ethyl isopropyl sulfide, isopropyl propyl sulfide and di-isopropyl sulfide have been investigated on the basis of the knowledge on the unbranched alkyl sulfides. Several key-band frequencies of the branched alkyl sulfides have been clarified.
