AbstractThe reaction of cinnamaldehyde with cyclopentadiene in the presence of DPPL as catalyst leads to substituted cyclopentadiene Michael‐type adducts (III) and (IV), whilst the reaction with DTFP catalyst affords Diels—Alder adducts (V) and (VI).
