Abstract
The selective protection of the N3-imido group of uridine with triphenymethanesulfenyl group is described. This group could be introduced selectively onto the N3-position of the uracil moiety of 3′,5′-O-(tetraisopropyldisiloxane-1,3-diyl)uridine in a good yield and removed very easily by treatment with aqueous iodine.
