Abstract

The solubilities of alkali picrates were measured in alcohols (13 species) and esters (19 species) at 25±0.2°C. It was found that the solubility data are well correlated with the solubility parameters of the solvents. It is also pointed out that the distribution ratios of the cesium picrate between the aqueous phase and the organic phase are apparently correlated with the solubility parameters of the extraction solvents.
