AbstractMichael addition of α‐cyanoketones to α,β‐unsaturated aldehydes in the presence of catalytic amounts of a L‐proline derivative affords 3,4‐dihydropyrans with moderate diastereoselectivity, high yields, and excellent enantioselectivities.
