AbstractThe electrochemical oxidation of Zn or Cd anodes for 2‐3 h in the extreme air‐sensitive non‐aqueous solution (acetone) of the corresponding aromatic diol under dry nitrogen leads to the also air‐sensitive complexes (I)‐(III).
