Abstract
Abstract Novel 1,2,3,4,5-tetraselenagermolanes 4 have been synthesized as stable orange crystals by the reactions of either the sterically crowded dihydrogermane or dichlorogermane with t-butyllithium followed by treatment with elemental selenium, and the structure of 4a was determined by X-ray crystallographic analysis.
