Abstract
AbstractCoupling of the iron carbonyl complex (I) with ethyl oxalyl chloride (II) and subsequent metathesis with bis(triphenylphosphoranylidene)ammonium chloride (IV) produce the salt (V) which is methylated with methyl triflate (VI) at a low temperature to yield the methyliron complex (VII).
