AbstractA series of diaryl sulfones (II) (10 examples) is readily prepared by reaction of the corresponding arenes with crude ditriflate sulfone, which is obtained by reaction of dimethyl sulfate with pyridine followed by treatment of the resulting bis(N‐methylpyridinium) sulfate with Tf2O.
