AbstractThe dihaloarenes (I) are coupled with trimethylsilylacetylene (II) in the presence of Pd(0)‐catalysts to form the bis(silylethynyl) derivatives (III) which are deprotected with methanolic KOH, yielding the desilylated compounds (IV).
