AbstractThe dihydroquinolone (I) is N‐alkylated with the bromo ketones (II) and then cyclized to give the dihydropyrroloquinolinones (IV) which undergo cycloaddition reaction with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate (V), forming the benzopyrroloindolizinones (VI) after dehydrogenation.
