Abstract

AbstractX‐Ray crystal analyses of the three model complexes (Ia) (space group P21 with Z=4), (Ib) (P21 with Z=4), and (II) (P1 with Z=1) clearly show the importance of the tryptophan residue in protein for the selective recognition of the protonated or methylated guanine base in nucleic acid.
