Abstract
AbstractFrom cis‐ and trans‐amino ester (I) the respective Schiff base (III) is obtained which on reaction with ammonia and methylamine (IV) in the cis‐case (IIIa) gives mainly all‐cis products (Va) but exclusively isomers (VIb) in the trans‐case (IIIb); the amides (VII) are produced as well.
