Abstract

AbstractThe molecular cluster compounds (Te10)[Rh(TeCl4)(TeCl3)]2 (I), (Te10)[Ir(TeBr4)(TeBr3)]2 (II), (Te10)[Ru(TeI4)(TeI2)]2 (III), (Te10) [Rh(TeI4)(TeI2)] 2(TeI4)(Te2I2) (IV), (Te10) [Ir(TeI4)(TeI2)] 2(TeI4)(Te2I2) (V) and the one‐dimensional cluster polymer (Te10I2) [Ir(TeI4)]2(Te4)I2 (VI) are obtained by cooling melts of the respective transition metals, Te, and TeX4 (X: Cl, Br, I) in stoichiometric ratios or M:Te:I = 2:14:12 (IV, V) (fused silica tubes, 523—573 K, 7 d).
