Abstract

AbstractPotentiometric, ESR and electronic spectroscopic results show that the title acid CH3CH(NH2)CONHOH coordinates to Cu(II) via the α‐amino nitrogen and the nitrogen atom of the NHOH group and that aqueous solutions contain dimeric species in the pH range 4‐6. At pH 7.4‐8.3 only 1:2 Cu/ligand species appear to be present.
