AbstractThe interaction of the Lewis acids [R3PAu] , [LCu] and [MeHg]+ with the tetrahedral cluster [Fe4(CO),3]2" produces an equilibrium mixture of the tetrahedral isomer (I) and the butterfly isomer (II) with a I′l‐ CO ligand between the wingtips in solution.
