Abstract

AbstractThe new isotypic compounds BaY4(Si2O7)(Si3O10), SrYb4(Si2O7)(Si3O10), and SrSc4(Si2O7)(Si3O10) are synthesized by a high‐temperature flux growth method from mixtures of M2O3 (M: Y, Yb, Sc), BaCO3 or Sr(OH)2, an alkali metal carbonate, and MoO3 as a flux (Pt crucibles, 1150 °C, 3 h).
