AbstractTwo consecutive enzymatic and asymmetric aldol reactions allow the synthesis of stereodefined pipecolic acid (I), piperidine, and pyrrolidine (homo)iminocyclitol [(II) and (III)] derivatives from dimethoxy acetaldehyde and glycine.
