Abstract

AbstractThe complexes (III) and the tribromo analogue of (IIIa) (yield 34%) are obtained within 24 and 28 h. In the case of the reaction between (I) and (IIa), long reaction times lead to the neutral paramagnetic complex (IV) which can also be synthesized from (IIIa) by reversibly chemical reduction in 68% yield using cobaltocene.
