Abstract
The reactions of various phosphorus-containing systems with diazo-compounds and carbenes are presented for the first time in a general form and a systematic account is given of literature data on the reactivities of phosphorus-containing acids, salts, esters, amides, sulphenamides, phosphorus acid sulphenyl halides, phosphorus halides, and derivatives of mono-, di-, and tri-coordinate phosphorus in reactions with diazo-compounds and carbenes. The differences between the reactivities of diazo-compounds and carbenes in relation to the above groups of organophosphorus compounds are demonstrated. The bibliography includes 244 references.
