Abstract
Abstract The reactions of the two allylsilane-acetals ( 8 ) and ( 9 ) with various O-silylated enolates is described. This has resulted in a new route to fused carbocyclic six and seven-membered rings in a one-pot reaction by use of a chemospecific allylsilane based bifunctional annulating reagent.
