AbstractThe title compound (I) reacts with acyclic CH acids according the 1,4‐addition pattern, whereas reactions with cyclohexane‐1,3‐dione and dimedone are complicated by subsequent intramolecular heterocyclization yielding thieno[3,2‐b]chromene derivatives.
