AbstractThe reaction of selenium dichloride, which can be prepared in situ from selenium and sulfuryl chloride, with acrylic acid (IIa), ethyl acrylate (IIb), or acrylonitrile at ‐20°C gives the corresponding selenides (II) in high yields.
