AbstractThe addition products formed from 2,4‐diphenyl‐1,3,5‐triazine (I) and hydrogen cyanide (II) or hydrazine hydrate (IV) undergo spontaneous aromatization to yield the 2‐substituted 4,6‐diphenyl‐1,3,5‐triazines (III) or (V).
