Abstract
AbstractCharacteristic Diels—Alder [(I)→(III)+(IV)] and Friedel—Crafts [(I)→(VI)+(VII)] type conjugate addition reactions of methyldiphenylpentatrienal (I) are found, providing novel and useful routes to highly substituted allene and diene derivatives.
