Abstract
AbstractSuitably protected aspartic‐acid "β‐semialdehyde", e.g. compound (IIa), and glutamic‐acid "γ‐aldehyde" derivatives, e.g. compounds (IIb) and (IV), are obtained, in good yield by Rosenmund reduction of the corresponding acid chlorides.
