Abstract

AbstractA precursor complex (I), obtained by reaction of Cu(ClO4)2 in MeOH/MeCN with diethylenetriamine in water and imidazole in MeOH, undergoes deprotonation of the pyrrole hydrogen in the coordinated imidazole in EtOH by the addition of a strong base or in alkaline aqueous solution containing an excess of NaOH, to give the title compound (II).
