AbstractDiels‐Alder reaction of dehydrobenzene (II), in situ prepared from anthranilic acid (I) by treatment with pentyl nitrite, with the furans (III) gives the epoxynaphthalenes (IV) which are hydrogenated to yield the epoxytetralins (V).
