AbstractThe photolytic reaction of the chromium carbene complex (Va) with (I) and (III) yields the β‐lactams (II) and (IV), resp., as single diastereomers, whereas a mixture of (VIIa) and (VIIb) is formed with the ketoimine (VI) (a corresponding α‐diimine behaves similarly).
