AbstractAsymmetric umpolung allylation of aromatic aldehydes (II) proceeds smoothly in the presence of a novel Pd—chiral phosphine‐Schiff base catalyst to give the homoallylic alcohols (III) in excellent syn‐diastereoselectivity and up to 67% optical purity.
