AbstractThe bis(benzothiazolylammonium) pentachloromolybdates (III), prepared from the hydrochlorides (I) and molybdenum pentachloride (II), are dehydrochlorinated upon refluxing in ethanol to form the monomeric complexes (IV), whereas heating of (III) in water produces the dinuclear dioxo‐bridged complexes (V).
