AbstractTreatment of the N‐acylamino acid esters (I) with diisopropyl azodicarboxylate (II) in the presence of triphenylphosphine (Mitsunobu conditions) results in the formation of the cyclocondensation products (III) ‐ (V) depending on the substitution patterns.
