AbstractPolysubstituted nine‐membered‐ring lactones are prepared by Ugi reaction of enantiomerically enriched cyclic hemiacetals with a wide range of α‐amino acids and isocyanides of aliphatic, peptidic, glycosidic, and lipidic nature.
