Abstract
AbstractAnovel method has been developed and used in the direct determination of the primary quantum yield of OH in reaction A. The amount of laser light absorbed is determined with a calibrated disk calorimeter while the concentration of OH radicals formed in the irradiated volume is measured by absorption spectroscopy using the line at 308.3 nm and a literature value of its strength.
