AbstractReaction of dilithiobutadienes like (I) with aroyl chlorides containing electron‐withdrawing groups (III) proceeds with C—C bond formation and double silyl shift to give gem‐bis(trimethylsilyl)cyclopentenones (IV) in good yields.
